Tarot Quiz
Guess what each card means – tap it any time if you get stuck. Here's everything worth knowing first.
Before you try to remember the exact meaning, just look at the suit – it already tells you what area of life you’re in.
- Wands – action, ambition, drive.
- Cups – feelings, relationships, intuition.
- Swords – thoughts, conflict, hard truths.
- Pentacles – money, work, the everyday physical world.
If the same suit keeps showing up, that’s usually what the whole reading is actually about.
Every suit runs through the same arc, Ace to 10 – so once you know the pattern, you know it for all four suits at once.
Ace starts things off, 2-3 is an early choice and first growth, 4-5 is stability getting tested, 6-7 is recovery and reflection, 8-9 is closing in on the goal, and 10 wraps the whole cycle up.
Court cards are people rather than events: a Page is just starting out, a Knight is mid-action, a Queen leads by nurturing, a King leads by authority.
All 22 Major Arcana cards, in order, are really one story – The Fool stepping into life with nothing figured out yet, all the way to The World, where it finally clicks into place.
You don’t need the whole story memorized. Just knowing roughly where a card sits – early (still learning), middle (facing real conflict), or late (getting it together) – tells you a lot about its tone.
A reversed card is the same energy, just stuck, turned inward, or pushed too far – not a punishment.
Here’s the trick: read the upright meaning first, then ask yourself “what would this look like if it got blocked, or taken too far?” That question gets you 90% of the way to the reversed meaning on your own, without memorizing a second set of definitions.
Narrow the deck to what you are learning, or leave it on all 78.
